In May 2024, the Jamaican Cultural Connection, Inc. witnessed a landmark moment as the well-attended inauguration of President Lurna Franklin and Vice President Karen Lewin took place. For the first time in the organization’s history, two women ascended to its highest offices, marking a profound step forward in its legacy. Founded by the late Claudette Bailey in October 2010, the Jamaican Cultural Connection, Inc. continues to honor her vision, with this historic transition serving as a testament to the enduring strength and growth of her legacy.
